About the speaker: Ms Carine is a Burmese speaker with an academic background in intercultural communication and political sciences. She has been working with ethnic minority groups in Eastern, Western and Northern Myanmar with NGOs and International Organisations for more than 10 years. Carine authored several researches on ethnic conflict and was, until late May 2013, the UNHCR head of operation for Kachin and Northern Shan States. She is a free lance analyst who has been well published internationally. Carine speaks with great enthusiasm and knowledge.
